Orlando O. Grant is the Site Coordinator of the Cleveland Central Weed & Seed program. Since joining the staff of Burten, Bell, Carr Development, Inc. in August 2005, he has begun to implement the strategy of the Cleveland Central Weed & Seed Steering Committee. As Site Coordinator, Orlando coordinates and notifies all members of the steering committee of upcoming meetings and projects, identifies alternative methods of funding, serves as a liaison between participating organizations, assists with training and development of steering committee members, oversees evaluation process and public relation/outreach campaign, and any additional duties assigned to him by the steering committee. Orlando reports to the Weed & Seed Program Manager in Washington D.C. on the progress of the strategy and how it is being implemented.
Previously, Orlando worked at the Murtis H. Taylor Multi-Service Center as a Case Manger. He has gained valuable experience while interning at WEWS News Channel 5 and working with youth in Glenville Youth Society. Orlando continues to volunteer with many charitable organizations, utilizing his time and skills to benefit less fortunate persons.
Orlando holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine & Applied Arts in Communications from The University of Akron with a minor in Public Relations. Orlando is in the final stages of completing his Master’s Degree from The University of Akron with a focus in Business and Organizational Communication.
