Cleveland Central Weed & Seed Safe Haven Opens!
The Cleveland Central Weed & Seed has opened the doors of its Safe Haven Office located at 7504 Cedar Avenue. The Safe Haven will serve as a multi-service center where a mixture of youth and adult services will be accessible in a highly visible, accessible facility that is secure and safe for residents to learn about resources available to them.

The Safe Haven will provide a range of services and supportive programs, such as educational, cultural, recreational, health and justice-related programming with emphasis on coordinated delivery of these services. It provides youth, parents and other residents with a safe place to go and offers productive activities.
The Safe Haven Office will serve as a full service resource center for this community, and will allow residents an opportunity to learn about Weed & Seed efforts. There are three other Safe Haven Sites: Good Hope Baptist Church, Giddings Elementary School, and The City Mission. Cleveland Central Weed & Seed will host events and programming at all four locations.
The Safe Haven Office will serve as the Main Office for our Weed & Seed Safe Haven Network and Strategy. The office houses the Safe Haven Coordinator Teralawanda Aaron, who is responsible for coordinating Safe Haven programs and services at all of our sites. The Safe Haven also houses VISTA Members Twila Norris and Deborah Willoughby.
We already have several programs scheduled to operate out of the Safe Haven. We are a designated IRS Volunteer Income Tax Preparation Site, which will allow us to assist families with tax preparation during tax season. Partner organizations will provide services such as food assistance, energy assistance, and conflict mediation.
For more information please contact Safe Haven Coordinator Teralawanda Aaron by phone at (216) 432-1818 or by e-mail at taaron@ccweedseed.org.
